What is CapyOnsen?
CapyOnsen is a new European self-care brand built around a short, three-step evening ritual — a cleanser, a serum, and a moisturiser. Around that core we’ve added a small, curated collection (an exfoliant, a toner, a richer night cream, an eye cream) for the nights or the skin that want a little more — never a wall of near-identical bottles. It’s the sister brand to CapyFuel, and where CapyFuel is about energy, CapyOnsen is about winding down.
Is CapyOnsen live yet?
Yes — the shop is open. We’re rolling out quietly during 2026: new products join the ritual as their labels and stock are ready, and newsletter subscribers hear about each addition first.
Where is CapyOnsen made?
In Latvia, in the EU, by an established, certified cosmetics manufacturer we partner with. We’re upfront that this isn’t our own factory; it’s a certified partner we chose because they already do this well.
What’s the story behind the capybara?
Capybaras are famous online for soaking calmly in hot springs — often with a yuzu fruit on their head — looking completely unbothered by the world. We built the brand around that feeling of unhurried calm. To be clear: our products don’t contain real hot-spring water; we borrowed the mood, not the mineral content.
Is the packaging sustainable?
We’ve kept the packaging as minimal and recyclable as we reasonably can. We’re still finalising the full material breakdown and will publish it here once it’s confirmed — we’d rather confirm it than promise it early.
How do I stay updated?
The easiest way is our newsletter — sign up on the homepage for occasional, honest updates on new products and restocks, no spam. Since the shop is already open, you don’t need to wait for anything to start shopping the ritual today.
Products
What are the formulas certified as?
Our formulas are certified natural or organic (COSMOS standard), verified per product — check each product page for its specific certification. COSMOS is one of the recognised EU standards for natural and organic cosmetics.
Are the products vegan and cruelty-free?
Vegan status is confirmed per product — see each product page for the exact detail, since ingredient sourcing isn’t identical across every product. On animal testing: cosmetics testing on animals has been banned across the EU by law since 2013, and our formulas are made within that framework.
Is CapyOnsen suitable for sensitive skin?
The Sensitive Skin Moisturiser and Sensitive Skin Overnight Cream are both fragrance-free and dermatologically tested, formulated to help calm redness-prone skin specifically. If your skin is very reactive, we’d still suggest patch-testing any new product, including ours, before adding it to a nightly routine.
Does CapyOnsen use fragrance?
The Sensitive Skin Moisturiser and Sensitive Skin Overnight Cream are fragrance-free by design. Check individual product pages for the rest of the collection, as fragrance use is confirmed per product.
Orders & Delivery
Which markets do you ship to, and what does it cost?
We ship across the EU: Germany, France and Poland (€6.90, free over €60), the rest of the EU (€9.90, free over €75), and Cyprus & Malta (€17.90, free over €90).
How long does delivery take?
Every product is already made and held with our established, certified EU manufacturing partner — nothing is brewed after you click buy. The one manual step left is applying the compliance label (the COSMOS/CPNP-required ingredient and batch information) to each unit before it ships, which is why dispatch takes up to 2 working days rather than being instant. Standard delivery then takes another 2–7 working days depending on your country — typically 4–9 working days door to door — and you’ll get tracking as soon as it ships.
Returns
What’s your returns policy?
You have a full 14-day right of withdrawal on any order, no reason needed — see our Returns & Withdrawal policy for the details, including the one legal exception (once a product’s own hygiene seal is broken, cosmetics can’t be returned for a refund under EU law) and how refunds work.
